No Backing

The patch has a clean, unfinished back, used when the patch will be further processed, framed, or attached by the customer using their own method (usually sewn on).

Iron On

A heat-activated adhesive is bonded to the patch back. Press with a household iron at medium-high heat for 30–45 seconds to bond permanently to fabric.

Adhesive

A peel-and-stick backing for temporary attachment. Ideal for events, seminars, or trade shows where patches need to go on and come off cleanly without leaving residue.

Plastic

A rigid plastic sheet is bonded to the patch back, adding structural support and helping the patch hold its shape, especially useful for larger patches or those that need to lie flat without curling.

Velcro Hook Backing

The hook (rough) side of a hook-and-loop fastener is sewn onto the patch back. This allows the patch to attach to any surface carrying the matching loop panel, such as tactical vests, bags, and apparel with hook-and-loop panels.

Velcro Loop Backing

The soft, fuzzy loop side is bonded to the patch back. This variant is sewn directly onto a garment to create the receiving surface for hook-backed patches, or used when the garment already carries the hook side.
